Featured on the App Store "Apps for Learning Chemistry" Oct. 2011, Chem Lab offers high school students a chance to build simple chemical compounds in an approachable game-like environment.
Who knew basic chemistry was such a blast? In Chem Lab, youre presented with name of a randomly chosen chemical compound. Drag elements into the flask to complete the chemical formula. Get it right? You rock! Get it wrong and "BOOM" -- your experiment explodes. Either way, the correct formula is displayed for your review.
Chem Labs primary focus is on the standard IUPAC nomenclature used in your chemistry classes. For a few well known chemical compounds, a more common name is substituted. Over 60 compounds, both organic and inorganic, are included in the game.
Scores and times are given for each round of 5 compounds so you can track your own progress or challenge your classmates to a match!

Funny, but not very many formulas. Would potentially be a fun way to study for organic Chemistry.... if its possible to make THAT fun!
Excellent app! I will use it in my class. I would like to see an expansion to include multivalent metals. Also, it would be nice to see it the other way. Give the formula, and have to write the name.

Im having fun with this app. Great app great price
This is a pretty basic chemistry game, but for older students, it will jog your memory about those chemical names. This gets me going when Im having trouble starting on my MCAT studying! Still havent gotten 100% yet, I dont think, so its fairly challenging.
